Slow Art Day is an annual international event, typically held in April, that encourages people to visit museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Instead of rushing through exhibitions, participants spend 5–10 minutes looking at a few selected works to foster deeper personal connections with art and reduce intimidation.
Lexington is a designated stop, featuring several public works. Locations in Bloomington, IL are also participating. More info to come.
